The PMDF-TLS installation procedure will ask you to enter in your PMDF-TLS license, which you should have received when you licensed PMDF-TLS. If you are upgrading PMDF-TLS, you should check that you have a PMDF-TLS license valid for the new version.
Note that PMDF license information is stored in files with names of the
form product-name.license, located in the PMDF
table directory, so the PMDF-TLS license will be stored in a file named
PMDF-TLS-NT.license. A PMDF-TLS license file has the
format:
Issuer:Innosoft Authorization Number:auth-number Product Name:PMDF-TLS-NT Producer:Innosoft Product Release Date:release-date Product Token:token Checksum:checksumwhere
auth-number, token,
release-date, and checksum
are specific to your PMDF-TLS license.
For an update installation of PMDF-TLS, check that the release date i.e., the value on the fifth line of the file, is later than the release date of the PMDF-TLS version that you wish to install. PMDF licenses allow operation of PMDF software released before the license release date. New PMDF product licenses are issued when your maintenance contract is renewed, not when new versions of software are released.
