Prior to performing an installation or upgrade of PMDF-TLS you should have received a PMDF-TLS license, documentation, and instructions for fetching PMDF-TLS from the Innosoft FTP site.
PMDF-TLS is a layered product built on top of PMDF, and can only be used on a licensed, configured, PMDF-MTA or PMDF-ACCESS system. If you have not yet installed and configured PMDF-MTA or PMDF-ACCESS on your intended PMDF-TLS system, see Chapter 5 through Chapter 7 .
3.2.1 Supported Solaris versions
This version of PMDF-TLS runs under Solaris version 2.6 or later (SunOS
2.6 or later). Be sure that you have installed all the patches normally
required for PMDF operation on your version of Solaris, as described in
Section 1.1.1 .
3.2.2 Disk space requirements
PMDF-TLS on Solaris SPARC requires approximately 2400 kilobytes of disk
space; PMDF-TLS on Solaris x86 requires approximately 2000 kilobytes of
disk space.
This disk space requirement applies to the partition containing
/pmdf/lib and /pmdf/bin, which are the
directories where the PMDF-TLS images will be installed. You can use
the df command to check total space and free space for the
filesystem containing these directories.
