The following is a list of tasks which must be completed following an upgrade or new installation of PMDF-TLS.

• For an initial PMDF-TLS installation, load the appropriate PMDF-TLS license by entering your license information into the PMDF license file, /pmdf/table/PMDF-TLS-SUN.license. The form of the license file is

  Issuer:Innosoft 
  Authorization Number:auth-number
  Product Name:PMDF-TLS-SUN 
  Producer:Innosoft 
  Product Release Date:release-date
  Product Token:token
  Checksum:checksum
  

  where auth-number, release-date, token, and checksum are specific to your own site's license. You should have received the correct license information for your system when you licensed PMDF-TLS. Note that PMDF-TLS may only be licensed and used on a system that is also licensed and configured for PMDF-MTA or PMDF-ACCESS. Check that the release date for each product, i.e., the value on the fifth field of each line, is later than the release date of the current version of each PMDF product you have installed. PMDF licenses allow operation of PMDF software released before the license release date. New PMDF product licenses are issued when your maintenance contract is renewed, not when new versions of software are released.
  
• If this is an upgrade of PMDF-TLS, you should now startup the Dispatcher (previously shutdown before beginning the upgrade) to begin using the new PMDF-TLS version. Issue the command:

  # pmdf startup dispatcher
